What is MapDataHub?

MapDataHub is a web-based tool that lets you upload geospatial files and instantly visualize them on an interactive map. No desktop software or GIS expertise required - just upload and explore.

What file formats are supported?

We support 13+ formats: CSV, GeoJSON, JSON, KML, KMZ, Shapefile (SHP), GeoTIFF (TIF), GPX, WKT, WKB, GML, SRT, and TXT. The Free plan supports 6 core formats (CSV, GeoJSON, JSON, KML, KMZ, SHP). Higher plans unlock additional formats like GeoTIFF, GPX, WKT, and more.

What's the maximum file size I can upload?

File size limits depend on your plan: Free (10 MB), Basic (20 MB), Standard (50 MB), Premium (250 MB), and Enterprise (1 GB). View full details on our Pricing Page.

Is there a free plan?

Yes! The Free plan lets you upload up to 5 files (100 MB total storage) with support for CSV, GeoJSON, KML, KMZ, SHP, and JSON formats. No credit card required - just sign up and start mapping.

Can I share my maps with others?

Yes. Every file can be shared via a public link. Anyone with the link can view your map in their browser - no account needed. You can also revoke the link at any time.

Can I embed maps on my website?

Yes. Use the share link to embed interactive maps directly on your website or blog. Visitors can pan, zoom, and explore the data without leaving your page.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Your files and maps are private by default - they are only accessible to others if you explicitly share them. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export any uploaded file as GeoJSON from the file panel or the file management page. The export preserves all geometry and properties from the original upload.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

Do you offer an API?

Yes. MapDataHub provides a RESTful API for uploading files, managing data, creating share links, and more. See the full API Documentation for details.

Do you offer custom solutions for teams?
